Opening of “Hamatoku – Hanare” in Miyagawacho
Since its founding in 1917,
Hamatoku has continued to evolve with the times while preserving the spirit of Kyoto’s traditional kaiseki cuisine.
We are pleased to announce the opening of a new space,
“Hamatoku – Hanare”,
located in the historic district of Miyagawacho.
Rooted in the heritage upheld by our main house,
Hanare offers a more intimate and refined setting,
where guests may experience seasonal kaiseki cuisine alongside the aesthetic sensibilities of Kyoto’s hanamachi culture.
Beginning March 26, 2026,
we welcome guests to discover a quieter expression of Hamatoku —
one that reflects both tradition and a vision for the future of Japanese fine dining.
Situated within walking distance of central Gion and the Kamo River,
Hanare is designed to serve both domestic and international visitors seeking a deeper cultural encounter in Kyoto.
